I should probably point out that midsummer night is really bright. It's the day when the day is longest and depending on where you live the sun might not go down at all. Where my family lives, the period lasts about two weeks but northern in the Lapland there is no sunsets for months.

Winter is polar opposite though and we can't see sun for weeks, it's horrible.

I'm using Finnish mythology names because why not. Näkki is kinda similar to kelpie, likes to drown kids and is one hell of a violin player. Also likes to hang out during midnight. Vetehinen is a bit more neutral character, sometimes evil, sometimes good. But I'd be angry too if people come constantly to knock my backdoor.
